David is President of Cash & Associates Inc., a management consulting company he started in 2014, after a 30-year career in municipal government in Ontario. He provides professional advice to his clients, with an emphasis on Economic Development, Urban Planning Policy and Site Selection.

Recent projects include economic development strategies for the City of Niagara Falls and Town of Georgina; and a Cleantech Sector Investment Strategy for the Town of East Gwillimbury. He also delivers in specialized training and executive coaching, including assignments for the Economic Developers Council of Ontario and the University of Waterloo, Economic Development Program.

He has held various positions in his municipal career, including as an Economic Development Officer, Director of Economic Development, Commissioner of Planning & Development and Chief Administrative Officer.

David’s career hast taken him to the Niagara Region, Kingston Area and Town of Oakville and Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville.

He is a Certified Economic Developer and a Registered Professional Planner.  He holds an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Geography and Economics, from the University of Waterloo.

David recently relocated his home-based business to St. George-Brant.  He is involved in number of volunteer capacities, including as a Board Member on the Workforce Planning Board of Grand Erie.

Stephen Speers is a Chair in the School of Trades and Apprenticeship at Conestoga College, and responsible for a number of Post-Secondary and Apprenticeship programs. Conestoga College is one of the largest comprehensive deliverers of Apprenticeship training in the province.

A graduate of Paris District High School, Stephen holds a Master of Education from OISE – University of Toronto, and also studied Social Development Studies and History at the University of Waterloo.

Prior to joining the college Stephen worked in Apprenticeship for the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. Roles for MTCU included a provincial project Lead, management of several Area Offices, and several years as an Apprenticeship Training Consultant. Prior to his apprenticeship roles Stephen spent 18 years at the W. Ross Macdonald School as a Residence Counsellor and Supervisor. Stephen’s other interests have included Elk farming, motorcycle touring, freshwater boating, and most recently of course his 5 grandchildren!
