Growing Careers in Agriculture

Ag education is about growing and promoting agriculture careers to youth in the Grand Erie region. 

Hundreds of elementary school students attended a day-long event in April 2023. Students learned about Ag careers, met farmers and farm-related organizations, and participated in a number of fun-filled activities.

AgScape, an organization that provides Ag-related education programs to Ontario students, put on our region’s first thinkAg Careers Competition. The day was organized by the Workforce Planning Board of Grand Erie, the Grand Erie District School Board and the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board. Future events are being planned for 2024.
