One of the Workforce Planning Board’s main roles is to research and collect data about the labour force, economy and job market in Brantford, Brant, Haldimand, Norfolk, Six Nations and Mississaugas of the Credit. We actively monitor the local labour market and shares insights with residents, businesses, organizations and government leaders.

The EmployerOne survey regularly collected information from employers in Brantford, Brant, Haldimand, Norfolk, Six Nations, and Mississaugas of the Credit about hiring, layoffs, skills needs, training and many workforce-related challenges. We have 6 years of data and insights.

Job Seeker & Employee Survey

The Job Seeker & Employee Survey gathered first-hand information from about 500 people who live and work in the Grand Erie region. The survey provided valuable insight about the lived experience of workers.

In-Demand Skilled Trades 

The In-Demand Skilled Trades Project gathered information and viewpoints from dozens of employers in Grand Erie about their skilled trades needs/shortages and Ontario’s apprenticeship system.
